Prize Draw Terms

1. Organizer

The organizer of the prize draw is Ferienhaus Huber, Horst Elbe, Hinterlibitsch 5, 9150 Bleiburg, Austria. The organizer runs the prize draw and determines the winner. Contact: office@ferienhaus-huber.at, +43 664 26 37 382.

2. Eligibility

Participation is open to natural persons who are at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity at the time of entry. Participation is open regardless of place of residence or nationality. Excluded from participation are the organizer, their family members and everyone involved in organizing and running the prize draw.

3. Entry period and closing date

The closing date is the drawing date shown in the entry form. The draw takes place annually. What counts is the moment the confirmed entry reaches the organizer.

4. How to enter

Entering takes just a few steps:

• Scan the QR code on the entry card in the apartment.
• Fill in the form and agree to receiving advance offers: the star rating, providing an email address and consenting to receive advance offers are required to take part; the free text is optional.
• Confirm your entry via the link in the email (double opt-in). Only then is your entry valid.
• One entry per person and email address.
• The rating and free-text feedback are used for internal purposes only and have no influence on the chance of winning.

5. No purchase necessary

Participation is free and independent of any booking or other purchase. No purchase is necessary.

6. Prize

The prize consists of 7 days (6 nights) for 2 people in the Typ III apartment at Ferienhaus Huber. It can be redeemed in the off-season only; the applicable months are listed below and correspond to the currently valid price list.

• The prize can be redeemed in the off-season only, specifically in April, from May until mid-June, and in September and October. Public holidays, bridge days ("Fenstertage") and long weekends (e.g. Easter, Ascension Day, Pentecost) are excluded. Redemption is subject to availability and must take place within 12 months of the winner notification.
• The prize covers 2 people. Additional people are not included in the prize and can only be added by separate arrangement at the normal rate, subject to availability.
• The prize is valid for the Typ III apartment only. It cannot be exchanged for the Typ I or Typ II apartment, for any other unit, a different date or price category, or for any other service.
• There is no entitlement to a cash alternative; the prize cannot be exchanged or paid out (in whole or in part).
• The prize is not transferable to third parties.
• The dates must be arranged with the host in advance. It is one connected stay of 6 nights (7 days).

7. What is and is not included

The prize covers only the services listed below:

• Included: 6 nights (7 days) for 2 people in the Typ III apartment at no extra charge.
• Not included: the final cleaning. It is payable by the winner on site.
• Not included: bed linen and towels. You can bring your own or add them for an extra charge.
• Not included: the statutory tourist tax (Ortstaxe/Kurtaxe). It is also payable for the two people covered by the prize, per person and night, on site. As a statutory levy, it cannot be covered by the organizer.
• The prize cannot be combined with other discounts, vouchers or promotions.

8. Draw and winner notification

After the closing date, the winner is drawn at random from all valid entries confirmed via double opt-in. Notification is sent by email to the address provided. The winner must respond within 14 days of receiving the notification. If there is no response within this period, the claim to the prize is forfeited and a new winner is drawn.

9. Validity and redemption period

The prize must be redeemed within 12 months of the winner notification, meaning the stay must be booked within this period. After this period the prize expires without replacement.

10. Data protection

To run the prize draw we process your email address and star rating, optionally your free text, as well as the apartment number transmitted via the QR code and the language; the legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Taking part in the draw is voluntary, but it requires your consent to receive advertising: providing your email address and consenting to receive advance offers from Ferienhaus Huber (approx. 1 to 2 times per year by email) are an integral part of entering the draw and a necessary condition for participation; the legal basis for sending advertising is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. We make this link clear to you at the point of entry. You can withdraw your consent or unsubscribe at any time, with effect for the future and without giving reasons, via the unsubscribe link in every email, via our unsubscribe form, or at office@ferienhaus-huber.at. Emails are sent via the service provider Brevo. Which data we process for which purpose is set out separately and transparently in our privacy policy.

• Purpose: running the prize draw and determining the winner, as well as sending advance offers from Ferienhaus Huber by email (approx. 1 to 2 times per year).
• Retention: entry data is stored until the prize draw has concluded; the email address for advertising is kept until you withdraw. After that the data is deleted, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
• Your rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority.

11. Early termination and changes

The organizer reserves the right to change, suspend or end the prize draw early for good cause, in particular in the event of manipulation, technical failures or too few entries. Participants have no claims against the organizer as a result.

12. Exclusion from participation

In the event of manipulation, the use of automated methods or false information, the organizer reserves the right to exclude the persons concerned from participation and to revoke prizes already awarded.

13. Legal recourse

Legal recourse is excluded. This applies in particular to running the prize draw and determining the winner.

14. Applicable law

Austrian law applies.

15. Severability

Should individual provisions of these terms of participation be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a rule that comes closest to the economic purpose of the invalid provision.
