Graz and Klagenfurt in under an hour.
Since December 2025 the Koralmbahn has connected Klagenfurt and Graz in 42 minutes. We are not somewhere near that line, we are tied straight into it by the Bleiburg loop: three apartments in southern Carinthia, for family holidays, active holidays and autumn breaks.
From Kühnsdorf-Klopeiner See or Bleiburg station you carry on without a car: by bike around the lakes, up the Petzen, or straight to the bathing lake. Three ways from here, each with the full detail on its own page.

You cycle the region's six lakes and simply take the train home: the REX carries your bike, and at weekends so does the Postbus Shuttle Südkärnten.
See all cycling routes
The Postbus Shuttle takes you from the stop at the house to the valley station, then the cable car carries you up our local mountain. At the top the view opens across three countries, ideal for a hiking day without a car.
Hiking and active holidays
From Kühnsdorf-Klopeiner See station the station shuttle and the Postbus Shuttle Südkärnten take you straight to the lake and the lidos. Lake Klopein counts as the warmest bathing lake in Europe.
All excursion destinationsThree apartments, one house in a secluded setting: families have the ponies, the nature pond and the playground right outside the door, active guests set off on foot or by bike up the Petzen, and in autumn the area is at its quietest.

Ponies, the nature pond and a large playground are right at the house, with no drive at all. No fixed programme needed: the children have the whole grounds to themselves.
More about family holidays
The Petzen is our local mountain, with one of Europe's longest flow trails for mountain bikers, plus hiking paths at every level. Cycling routes start right at the house.
More about active holidays
Mild afternoons, clear long views to the Karawanks and paths where you meet almost nobody. On top of that the Bleiburg Wiesenmarkt, held here since 1393.
More about autumn breaksFrom 50 to 110 m², equipped with everything you need for a relaxed stay.

For comparison: the Koralmbahn itself covers Klagenfurt to Graz in 42 minutes on the Railjet Xpress. The reason a train stops here hourly rather than three times a day is the Bleiburg loop: it ties Bleiburg into the new line at both ends, in the east at Wiederndorf-Aich towards Graz, in the west towards Klagenfurt.
Journey times checked on 27 July 2026 against the ÖBB timetable. The current timetable below is always the authoritative source.
Kühnsdorf-Klopeiner See is our long-distance station for everyone travelling from further away, from Vienna as much as from Germany: the S1 gets you there from Bleiburg in ten minutes, hourly and without a change. The WESTbahn runs ten times a day directly to and from Vienna. Once a day an ICE runs through to Frankfurt am Main without a single change, calling at Salzburg and Munich. Late in the evening a Nightjet leaves towards Vorarlberg, from where Switzerland is well connected.
The KlimaTicket Österreich is valid on both ÖBB and WESTbahn. Two operators on the same line means one thing above all for you: you have a choice on price.
From Bleiburg station it is 2.5 km to us, covered by the ÖBB shuttle or by us. Once here you need no car: three services dovetail into each other.
Who takes you whereStops right at our house and, booked in the app, takes you to Lake Klopein and the excursion destinations, at weekends and seasonally with your bike too.
Dial-a-ride service as a backup for the short hops, for instance to the Petzen valley station or to Lake Pirkdorf.
Drives you from the station right to the door, booked the day before, currently by phone only.
You get the Aktiv Card Südkärnten from us at no extra cost. It lets you use regional trains free of charge within Carinthia, up to the provincial border. Only from St. Paul towards Graz do you need a separate ticket.
ÖBB and WESTbahn both run on the southern line. You can book with either, and the KlimaTicket Österreich is valid on both.
Runs all the way to Bleiburg, hourly and without a change from Klagenfurt. The simplest choice for travelling right to the door.

Does not run to Bleiburg, but stops ten times a day at Kühnsdorf-Klopeiner See, including direct services to and from Vienna. From there it is 10 minutes to us on the S1.
WESTbahn offers no embeddable booking window, so the link goes straight to their ticket shop.
Tell us your preferred dates and your arrival time with no obligation, and we organise the rest of the last mile.
